Key Features & Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
1. Fear the Light, Fear the Night: A Dynamic Gameplay Loop
The core of Eleven Sunrises is its real-time, dynamic day-night cycle, which is not just an aesthetic feature but a central gameplay mechanic that constantly influences the player’s strategy. Solar power recharges your base and its batteries by day, giving your defensive towers a tactical advantage. As night falls, new and more dangerous enemies appear, forcing you to rely on the energy you’ve carefully stored. This creates a relentless tension where the decisions you make at any given moment directly impact your survival. This constant evolution of the threat and resources makes every second count.
2. An Unforgettable Aesthetic
Eleven Sunrises features a stylized, low-poly visual style inspired by cinematic masterpieces like Blade Runner and Mad Max, and the atmospheric depth of games like Journey and Inside.
- Low Poly, High Emotion: The angular, simplified art style is complemented by a powerful, contrasting color palette—vibrant oranges and reds at dusk give way to cool, muted pastels at dawn.
- Atmospheric Immersion: Volumetric fog, dynamic shadows, and a strong sense of gigantism amplify the feeling of solitude and mystery, making the world feel both beautiful and menacing.
3. A World of Mystery and Danger
Step into a narrative-driven experience where every discovery reveals a piece of a larger puzzle. You are the sole survivor of a great battle, left with nothing but questions. What happened here? Are there others? The story unfolds not just through traditional cutscenes, but through the environment itself, encouraging players to explore and piece together the lore of this forgotten world.
Eleven Sunrises: The Solo Developer’s Passion Project
From a Lifelong Dream to a Five-Year Odyssey
Eleven Sunrises is more than just a game; it’s the culmination of a lifelong dream by a solo developer. Since the age of 12, creating a video game has been a passion, starting with simple code on a Commodore C64 and early 3D modeling in the ’80s. After a career of 20 years in the electronics industry, a newfound inspiration from YouTube tutorials reignited the dream.
Five Years of Dedication
This project is a testament to what passion and determination can achieve. For five years, the developer has dedicated evenings and weekends to self-teaching every aspect of game creation—from C# coding to 3D modeling in Blender and game design in Unity. Every line of code, every pixel, and every game mechanic has been meticulously crafted out of a deep love for the art form.

It’s proof that with enough passion, even as a solo creator with no formal artistic or game development training, you can build something truly unique and meaningful. With no formal diploma or prior experience in game development, the journey began at age 12 with simple BASIC experiments on a Commodore C64, and later, games on Casio calculators. The passion reignited at 44, discovering modern engines like Unity and Unreal via YouTube, leading to an entirely self-taught mastery of C#, Unity, Blender, and VFX Graph through countless online tutorials.
This ambitious development, undertaken during evenings and weekends alongside a full-time job, was marked by significant technical challenges unique to a solo, self-taught creator. These included navigating complex Unity version updates, years spent perfecting dynamic depth of field, and undertaking a complete architectural refactor of the game from scratch. Despite these hurdles, the developer’s unwavering dedication has resulted in a multi-platform title supporting 13 languages and Steam Achievements already integrated.
